The IC660BBS102 is a 115 VAC / 125 VDC Isolated I/O Block with eight circuits and Failed Switch Diagnostics by GE Fanuc.
The block performs diagnostic tests that detect overload and no overload, I/O power loss on pairs of circuits, over-temperature, and open wire for tristate inputs. As long as terminals 5 and 6 are recieving power, the isolated I/O block should operate. Temperatures in excess of 100°C trigger an OVERTEMPERATURE message and turns off the circuit to protect the internal electronics of the unit. The short circuit level sensor at the switching device protects the output circuits. Outputs are configured to report No-Load conditions for a new block.
The IC660BBS102 block is fully compatible with handheld monitor IC660HHM501 and any GE Fanuc bus controller. Blocks numbered IC660CBS100, 1C660BBS100, and IC660BBS101 are backward compatible with previous versions of this Genius I/O block. Terminal assembly model IC66*TSS100E is not compatible with earlier versions of the block.

The IC660BBS102 I/O block is a member of the GE Fanuc Genius I/O series. It is a GE Fanuc output block that has 8 outputs divided into 4 groups of 2. Isolation is available between all of the output groups. The IC660BBS102 output block can be connected to a hand-held monitor that the operators can use to program it or to monitor its applications. It supports CPU redundancy and voltage from either an AC source or a DC source. The nominal voltage ratings of the IC660BBS102 output block are 115 Volts AC and 125 Volts DC. The GE Fanuc Genius I/O IC660BBS102 output block needs to be installed on a terminal block that will be used to host all of its wiring. It is compatible with most of the contemporary terminal block models that are available from the GE Genius I/O series. All 8 of the block’s outputs feature electronic fusing that will shut down the block quickly (within 5 microseconds) if the outputs experience short circuits in order to protect the block and the rest of the circuits. After this shutdown, the IC660BBS102 output block can be restarted through either a handheld monitor if one is attached to it, or through the CPU of the Genius I/O system that it is part of. The load current rating for each output is 2 Amps. Its operating temperature range is from 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, and its storage temperature range is from -40 to 212 degrees Fahrenheit.
