Technical Information

The IC630MDL316 input module is an analog input module produced by GE Fanuc. This module is used with programmable controllers from Series Three which feature advanced microprocessor technology and multiple configurations for a variety of applications. The PLC systems of this type can have a maximum of 400 I/O points and they are cost-effective due to the minimal installation space that they need on the panel and their high levels of reliability. Generally, these systems are less expensive than other hard-wired systems that are available on the market. The IC630MDL316 module is part of a system that supports 8 or 16 points per I/O module. In addition to that, the 8 or 16 I/O module points come with LED indicators. However, the system also supports up to 32 I/O points without any indicators.

 

The Series Three PLCs have a user logic memory of 4096 words that are 16 bits and that are of the CMOS RAM type. The users can also use an optional EPROM module if necessary. The IC630MDL316 module has an operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) and storage temperature range of -10 to 70 degrees Celsius (14 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit). The relative humidity range is 5 to 95% (non-condensing) and battery life of the featured PLC is 2 years when under a load. The IC630MDL316 input module has 2 channels and a current rating of 4 to 20 milliamps on voltage rating of 1.5 Volts DC. The base units of the PLC system available through this series can have 4, 6, or 8 I/O module units and they need a CPU/programmer unit that is compatible with the primary base unit. The CPU/programmer units have small dimensions and they can be hand-held.
