I/O Link Remote Module CCM311 GE Fanuc Series Three PLC IC630CCM3 IC630CCM31
The GE Fanuc IC630CCM311 remote I/O link module is a remote I/O link module for the GE Series Three Remote I/O configuration system. The Series Three remote I/O system requires a local I/O link module for operation. A single remote I/O station can accommodate 32 I/O points, 64 I/O points, 96 I/O points, 128 I/O points, 160 I/O points, 192 I/O points, or 224 I/O points for different applications. The IC630CCM311 remote I/O link module can support a maximum of 7 remote I/O stations and a maximum of 256 I/O points. While a local station consists of 1 to 3 base units (connected with I/O expander cables), with a CPU mounted on the primary base unit and a power module on each base unit, the remote I/O station requires only one base unit (a 4-point, 6-point, or 8-point base unit) and a power supply for operation.
Each remote I/O station linked to the IC630CCM311 remote I/O link module is assigned a consecutive ID number via a DIP configuration on the local I/O link module. As a standard feature, the physical location of the local I/O link module on the rack determines the starting address for the remote I/O modules on the remote I/O station. For example, if the local I/O link module occupies slot 1, the remote I/O module can be addressed from slot 0. Since the addressing is consecutive, the range of addressing for each module on the remote I/O station will depend on the type of module that is used, specifically on whether it is an 8-point, 16-point, or 32-point module. When the IC630CCM311 remote I/O link module is installed on the local I/O link module, it draws 100 milliamps of backplane power at 5 Volts DC.
