The IC600YB950 module is an I/O communication control module that is a type 4 module that comes in the Series Six product line of PLCs and that has been manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation. This part includes only the circuit boards without the faceplate that completes the module. This I/O communication control module has the ability to provide an interface to the Allen-Bradley Data Highway and it is compatible with the PLC-2 communication devices. This module is composed of a microprocessor-based module that consists of 2 boards that are coupled with a mother-daughter board configuration. The GE Fanuc Automation IC600YB950 I/O type 4 communication control module has been designed to operate exclusively with the CPUs from GE Series Six. It can be installed in a CPPU I7O slot or in a high-capacity I/O rack depending on the available space and the device functionality. 

 

When connected to an Allen-Bradley communication controller module, the GE Fanuc Automation IC600YB950 I/O type 4 communication control module enables the Series Six circuit to access the Allen-Bradley Data Highway. The GE Fanuc Automation IC600YB950 I/O communication control module comes with an LED status indicator, 3 DIP switches, 2 J1 and J2 25-pin D-type female connectors, and a hybrid DIP package, and it must be paired with the proper faceplate that is made specifically for this unit. The IC600YB950 communication I/O control module has a rated voltage of 240 Volts DC and a power requirement of 5 to 12 Volts DC. The maximum operating temperature for this module goes from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius.
