Technical Information

The IC600YB945 module is an ASCII microprocessor-based module that has been manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation. This specific module includes 16 KB of battery-backed RAM, and 12 KB of this memory is used to store the user programs. The module also contains an EPROM that comes with a BASIC language interpreter package that offers special functions that help the users manage different application scenarios. The GE Fanuc Automation IC600YB945 ASCII microprocessor-based module provides power to receivers and transmitters. This module also offers isolation protection of up to 1500 Volts between ports. The cables used to connect the module must not be more than 15 meters in length for the RS-232C port or more than 1.2 kilometers in length for the RS-422 port.

 

The GE Fanuc Automation IC600YB945 ASCII microprocessor-based module has 6 LEDs that show the current operating status of each port and the overall operating status of the module. If the power-up diagnostics features detect a failure, it will be shown on the status indicators. The programming language of the module is GE/Basic, and it provides different functions such as full function floating-point math. The GE Fanuc Automation IC600YB945 ASCII microprocessor-based module comes with interfaces to STR and III Devices. It also comes with interrupts and timers and it has a special command so that it can be interfaced to CPUs. This module can be mounted in an I/O rack and it requires a power supply of 5 to 12 Volts DC and 20-unit loads. The recommended ambient temperature range is 0 to 70 degrees Celsius. The module can operate at an altitude of up to 3000 meters.
