Technical Information

The industrial module with the catalog number IC600YB901 is designed and produced by GE Fanuc and it is one of the available parts from the GE Series Six product line. The module is the remote I/O driver type and it comes without a faceplate. The module is compatible with programmable controller products with the IC600Y and IC600YB product codes and it is built for heavy-duty operating conditions. The IC600YB901 module has LED indicators for local, link, remote, and remote parity updates. Additionally, the IC600YB901 module has a jumper on Bank A and it has functions like odd/even, remote parity error effect, factory set, carrier detect, output mode, input mode, and sensitivity functions The module provides many features, including factory settings and alternate settings for specific applications.

 

The IC600YB901 module performs tests for normal operation and for the quality of communication with the remote receiver. This means that the module will look for faults and let the users know if there are errors with the LED indicators. The module supports the factory configuration of block size that includes 120 inputs and outputs, along with an optional configuration that includes 248 inputs and outputs. This GE Series Six module provides a factory choice of 8 blocks of 240 I/O or 4 blocks of 496 I/O if necessary. Note that the IC600YB901 module acts differently if a failure in communication occurs. The factory configuration is designed to stop the CPU if such an event occurs, but the users can allow the CPU to run if the optional configuration is chosen. Additionally, there are other configuration options for remote I/O status failures and remote I/O parity errors.
