Advanced I/O Receiver Module YB830 Series Six Module Without Face Plate IC600Y IC600YB
The IC600YB830 Advanced I/O Receiver Module belongs to GE Fanuc Series Five product line of PLCs. It helps GE Series Six CPUs to detect an I/O failure and respond to it in a controlled manner. It offers the facilities to detect power supply failures as well as a break in the I/O cable. The IC600YB830 Advanced I/O Receiver Module detects all these issues by using relay logic devices which can be programmed by using a software package. This intelligent device provides I/O data integrity protection, rapid fault isolation and repair, easy troubleshooting facilities, and reduced spare part inventory. This module must be installed in the leftmost slot of an I/O rack. The power requirement of the module is 5 Volts DC and 600 milliamps and it is supplied by the I/O rack power supply.
The IC600YB830 Advanced I/O Receiver Module has two 7-segment DIP switches, 12 LED diagnostic indicators, an external “reset” pushbutton, and 2 identical DIP resistor packages on the circuit board. The DIP switches can be used to configure the input and output addresses for accessing the diagnostic information of the module. Some of the advanced features of this module include transient fault detection, LED indicators, “all I/O” rack compatibility, parity detection, and generation circuits. The IC600YB830 Advanced I/O Receiver Module helps the central processing unit to identify 3 main I/O fault types which are the input parity fault, output parity fault, and the I/O chain fault. The input parity fault is sensed by the CPU and the output parity failure is sensed by the I/O receiver module. A Workmaster Programmer or Program Development Terminal can be used for module configurations.
