The IC600YB815 Thermocouple Input Module is a Type S, compact, and modular analog input module that is made by GE Fanuc. It has 8 inputs that can be used to detect the low-level analog signals in which the thermocouple device is developed. This input module requires 5 Volts DC and 1.7 Amps of power from the power supply of the I/O rack. Its Type S input requires 2.32 to 18.698 MV. The IC600YB815 Thermocouple Input Module has 3.5 degrees Celsius of module accuracy within its temperature range 300 to 1768 degrees Celsius. In order to achieve maximum accuracy, the module must be calibrated every 6 months at the normal ambient temperature.
The IC600YB815 Thermocouple Input Module provides temperature resolution in terms of degrees Celsius or degrees Fahrenheit and millivolt resolution. It has 13 bits of resolution and linearization routines. It comes with a Type S thermocouple. The IC600YB815 Thermocouple Input Module also has a programmable gain amplifier and analog to digital converter for preserving high accuracy. It is recommended to use the extraction/insertion tool which is compatible to use with GE Series Six CPUs for installation and replacement. The terminal block of the module accepts either a floating thermocouple connection or a grounded thermocouple connection. An external cold junction element can be used to eliminate the need for an ice-point reference function. The circuit board of the module has an A/D reference calibration section, a “board OK” LED, offset/gain pots, and a configuration DIP switch. This thermocouple input module is suitable to use in industrial applications for detecting low-level analog signals in thermocouple devices.
