Type J Thermocouple Input Module (8 points) YB813 Series6 Module Without Face Plate IC600Y
The IC600YB813 Thermocouple Input Module is a Type J modular T/C input module from GE Fanuc. It is used to detect the low-level analog signals of thermocouple devices with its electrically isolated input devices. This small and compact input device is designed for serving distributed industrial applications. Some of the features of this module include cold junction compensation, 13-bit resolution, and open thermocouple detection. Its Type J input requires -4.632 to 42.922 MV and the specific temperature range of the module is -100 to 760 degrees Celsius with 1.3 degrees Celsius of rated accuracy. The calibration of the IC600YB813 Thermocouple Input Module must be performed every 6 months to maintain accuracy.
The IC600YB813 Thermocouple Input Module has an on-board microprocessor which is capable of performing the data linearization, conversion as well as scaling. External cold junction elements can be connected directly to the terminal to avoid the use of an ice-point reference function. It has 13 bits of resolution and a low pass filter for high noise rejection. The sample rate jumpers of the module are used to select the sample rates. The factory default sample rate offers a normal mode rejection of 86 dB. However, the sample rates can be increased. The IC600YB813 Thermocouple Input Module is advised to guide the faceplate over the input module circuit board, which is placed in the rack for establishing the proper contacts during installation. The thumb-screws at the top and the bottom can be used to secure the faceplate to the rack. All the input channels can be calibrated manually by using the potentiometers. When calibrating the module, allow the thermocouple card to warm up for 1 hour.
