Technical Information

The GE Fanuc Series Six IC600YB802 module is a 24 to 48 Volts AC/DC input module with 8 input points. The module comes with corresponding LED indicators for each input which function as troubleshooting aids. They are visible through a clear plastic screen on the module faceplate and they turn off when the module detects errors. The module is configured for installation in all the intermediate I/O racks in a daisy chain system in a standard industrial environment. However, if this module will be installed at the end of the I/O station daisy chain, it is advised to reconfigure the module to ensure the proper termination of the I/O Bus. The IC600YB802 input module comes with 2 horizontal rows of LEDs containing 8 LEDs each. The top row of LEDs are labeled from A1 through A8, while the bottom row of LEDs are labeled from B1 through B8. These labels that identify the LEDs are useful for troubleshooting the module and for program monitoring. The letters and numbers are illuminated when the corresponding LED turns on.

 

An additional green LED is mounted at the top of the GE Fanuc Series Six IC600YB802 input module and it indicates the circuit status of each I/O point on the discrete modules in the system. Another LED labeled “F” shows when there is a blown fuse for the fused or electronically protected output modules in the system. Note that the “F” LED is found on all the discrete I/O modules in the series, but it is only applicable to fused or electronically protected output modules. Each I/O module in the series has an insert called the “Front Door Insert” between the outside and inside surface of the module’s hinged door. The surface towards the inside of the door of the GE Fanuc IC600YB802 input module has a complete circuit when the hinged door is closed.
