Technical Information

The GE Fanuc IC600WD025 cable is an expansion rack input/output cable, also known as an expansion I/O cable. This expansion I/O cable extends from rack to rack within a local Central Processor Unit (CPU) or Remote I/O station in an industrial application, and it is used for providing electrical continuity and connections for the parallel I/O Bus. Note that the I/O cable can be used either to connect a local station to a Central Processor Unit station or to connect it to another local station in the system. The IC600WD025 expansion I/O cable is shielded and it  comes with 16 twisted pair wires which are individually color-coded. It also comes with 2 connectors, one with male terminals and another one with female terminals. The male terminals connect to the upstream module which is closer to the CPU, while the female terminals connect to the downstream module which is further away from the CPU.

 

During installation, the users should secure both connectors on the GE Fanuc IC600WD025 expansion rack I/O cable by using the furnished screws. However, the users can temporarily remove the shell of one connector if necessary by loosening these screws. The removal of the screws will make that end of the expansion cable easier to slip through a conduit section in a system. The GE Fanuc IC600WD025 expansion I/O cable can work with 5 specific modules. These modules are the standard I/O module, the I/O transmitter module, the I/O receiver module, the downstream port of the remote I/O receiver module, and the auxiliary module.
