Technical Information

The GE Fanuc IC600PM543 DC Power Supply Module is a 24 Volts DC rated main power supply module for the GE Series Six Redundant Processor Units (RPUs). This GE Redundant Processor Unit helps to switch control from one Series Six CPU or I/O chain to a standby one in the event that the first one fails, and it can be operated with either a single main power supply module or 2 different power supply modules (1 main power module and 1 auxiliary power module). The IC600PM543 DC Power Supply Module requires a 24 Volts DC power source for operation, and it supplies 5 Volts DC and 12 Volts DC regulated voltages to the Redundant Processor Unit’s backplane.

 

The IC600PM543 DC Power Supply Module has DC input terminals that connect DC input power from a source through an integrated lone filter, switch, and fuse (rated at 2 Amps) to a switching power supply. A front-panel connector block consists of terminals that allow the users to access relay contacts for the connection of alarm-activated field devices. There is also an LED indicator that shows the status of the module, and 2 keyswitches for setting the RUN/HOLD modes of the RPU and switching between CP1, CPU2, or AUTO operation. The IC600PM543 Module has 24 Volts DC input voltage, and it supplies 15.5 Amps and 1.0 Amp of backplane current ratings at different voltages. The IC600PM543 DC Power Supply Module is mounted on the far-right corner of the RPU rack, and it occupies a single slot on the RPU rack. It has a P1 15-pin connector on the front panel and a P6 3-pin connector at the back.
