Technical Information

The GE Fanuc IC600PM542 Series Six High Capacity I/O Rack Power Supply is a 24 Volts DC power module designed to provide power to the GE Series Six I/O modules installed on the backplane. This power supply module belongs to the GE Series Six high-capacity I/O power supply family, and it can directly replace the 115 Volts AC rated high-capacity power module (but it cannot replace the standard power supply) if there is a need for a change in the source of voltage that is being used. The IC600PM542 Series Six High Capacity I/O Rack Power Supply requires 20 to 32 Volts DC of source input voltage for operation, and it supplies +5 Volts DC and +12 Volts DC power to the GE Series Six I/O backplane for high-current I/O module configuration and remote I/O applications.

 

The IC600PM542 Series Six High Capacity I/O Rack Power Supply has a 2-Amp fuse and a power switch. During the wiring process, the 20 to 32 Volts DC power source is connected to the front-panel terminal block and then routed through the switch and 2-Amp fuse to the switching power supply. The IC600PM542 I/O Rack Power Supply provides the following backplane current ratings: 16.5 Amps at +5 Volts DC, 1.5 Amps at +15 Volts DC, and 1.0 Amp at -12 Volts DC, and it has a maximum power rating of 180 Watts. It has one front-panel switch labelled “LOGIC POWER” for switching on and off, and an LED that turns on when the “LOGIC POWER” switch is turned on. Directly under the switch is the source voltage terminal block for connecting the power source, and on the back is the place where the main circuit terminal strip and the auxiliary circuit board connector are located. The IC600PM542 I/O Rack Power Supply is designed for the IC600YR511 I/O Rack, and it is installed on the far-right side of the rack.
