Technical Information

The GE Fanuc IC600PM508 Auxiliary Power Supply Module is an AC power supply module for the GE Series Six Redundant Processor Unit (RPU). This power supply module accepts AC source inputs rated at 115 Volts AC or 230 Volts AC and it supplies +12 Volts DC and +5 Volts DC backplane power for operation and the configuration of I/O modules on the backplane. The Series Six RPU module can operate on either a single power supply or on 2 power supply modules which are 1 main power supply and an auxiliary power supply like the IC600PM508 Module. During wiring, a standard 115 Volts AC or 230 Volts AC source is connected to the module’s terminals, and it is re-routed through a 2 Amps rated built-in fuse, a line filter, and finally to the switching power supply.

 

The IC600PM508 Auxiliary Power Supply Module has a recommended operating range of 95 Volts AC to 260 Volts AC, which accommodates a wide range of applications and it has output backplane power supply ratings of 15.5 Amps maximum at +5 Volts DC and 1 Amp maximum at +12 Volts DC. The IC600PM508 Module is mounted on the rightmost end of the CPU rack, and it comes with a front-panel LED light indicator, which shows the module’s operation status. The IC600PM508 Module has front panel connector blocks that consist of terminals for source inputs, backplane outputs, and alarm-activated user devices. It also has front-panel key switches for setting the “RUN” or “HOLD” mode of the CPU and for setting the CP/CP/Auto control switch modes. The IC600PM508 Auxiliary Power Supply Module comes with a built-in 2-Amp fuse and a power switch for load protection.
