Redundant Processor Unit Main Power Supply, 115-230Vac PM507 Power Unit IC600P IC600PM
The GE Fanuc IC600PM507 Redundant Processor Unit Power Supply Module is a 115 Volts AC power supply module that is made for the GE Series Six PLC system. The IC600PM507 Power Supply Module is designed for use with the redundant processor unit, and it is installed on the CPU rack. The IC600PM507 Power Supply Module accepts either 115 Volts AC or 230 Volts AC power sources, and it supplies +5.0 Volts DC and +12.0 Volts DC of regulated power to the RPU backplane. In a standard GE Series Six PLC configuration, the RPU acts as a switch for transferring control from one PLC or I/O chain to a standby one in the connection chain if the primary CPU fails, and it requires a single main power module or 2 power modules for operation.
During the installation of the IC600PM507 Power Supply Module, the AC power is connected to the terminals on the front-panel source terminal block, and this power is then routed through a built-in line filter (within the module input), switch, and fuse, and then finally into the switching power supply. The front panel also houses the relay contact terminals that allow the users to connect indicators to field devices that can be activated during an alarm condition. There are 2 keyswitches located on the front panel of this module. The first is used for setting either the “TUN” or “HOLD” modes of the RPU, while the second is used for switching control between the CPU 1, CPU 2, or AUTO operation options. The IC600PM507 Power Supply Module offers 15.5 Amps of maximum current at +5 Volts DC and 1.5 Amps of maximum current at +12 Volts DC backplane power, and it has a wide operating input voltage range that accommodates a wide range of applications.
