Technical Information

The IC600PM501 power supply is a Series Six power supply module manufactured by GE Fanuc. The power supply comes with a small form factor and it weighs only 3 pounds. The main function of the power supply is to supply power to different I/O modules in the GE Series Six PLC system through the backplane. The backplane is powered with a 5 Volts DC rated power source. The maximum current rating of the power I/O rack is 6.1 Amps. It is able to regulate different voltage ranges to the I/O rack backplane. The IC600PM501 power supply comes with an input voltage range between 115 and 230 Volts AC. It has an open architecture design. The front of the unit has a power on/off switch. An LED is present that illuminates when the switch is in the “on” position. Additionally, a connector port is present next to the LED. The bottom part of the unit has the terminal block assembly through which it powers other I/O modules.

The GE Fanuc Series Six IC600PM501 power supply can generate a “power failure” signal to the I/O rack for power failure conditions. It is easy to install and it has a simple troubleshooting process. A 2-Amp fuse is present on the front side of the supply and it can be easily replaced. The back of the unit has DC output terminals along with the ground terminal. The front panel terminal block has screw terminals that can be used for a firm connection. The IC600PM501 power supply should be earthed properly and the mains should be disconnected from the unit during the installation process. The environmental temperature range should be set between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius for regular operation.
