Technical Information

The IC600LX648 memory module is a GE Fanuc memory module for the GE programmable logic controllers or PLCs. It is a GE Series Six module. This compact module comes with a 32K logic and a 16K register memory module. The memory module is a flat board with memory components. It is portable and easy to install. It is also referred to as a combined memory module with CPU components, a register, and user memory. The IC600LX648 memory module has expandable memory capacities. It allows for battery backup by using the CMOS battery through the onboard auxiliary battery. It has “battery level” and “parity error” LED indicators that can be viewed on the front of the module. The “parity error” indicator helps to identify the problem and simplify the troubleshooting process. It also helps to provide data integrity. The “battery level” indicator warns the operators of a low battery when the battery needs to be replaced.

 

The circuit board of the IC600LX648 memory module has dimensions of 8.15 x 11 inches and the faceplate dimensions are 12.46 x 1.175 inches. It is powered with 5 Volts DC power through the backplane. The IC600LX648 memory module has a current rating of 1.5 Amps maximum. The operating temperature range should be set between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius with 5 to 95% non-condensing relative humidity levels. There is no enclosure on the module so it should be protected from dust, dirt, and water splashes from all directions. During the initial installation process, the parity errors should be cleared with the logic master device. The battery level and parity error indicators should be checked and the mains should be fully disconnected during installation.
