Technical Information

The GE Fanuc IC600CP610 rack is an 8-slot rack with a 95 to 260 Volts AC rated power supply. The IC600CP610 rack is compatible with the GE Series Six Plus PLCs. When it is panel-mounted with brackets on the sides, the rack dimensions are 406 x 340 x 236 millimeters. When it is panel mounted with brackets on the top and bottom and side by side, the rack dimensions are 340 x 410 x 236 millimeters. When the rack is rack mounted, the rack dimensions are 406 x 340 x 236 millimeters. At 115 Volts AC voltage, the allowable power interruption is a minimum of 33 milliseconds. The 8-slot IC600CP610 rack contains an I/O backplane that is capable of supporting 4 I/O modules at a time.

 

The Central Processing Unit (CPU) for the GE Series Six Plus Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is made up of 3 control modules, a power supply, and a memory module which all interface to a common backplane and which are enclosed in a mountable rack. The central processing operations of the CPU are performed by the arithmetic control module and the logic control modules which are installed in Slot 3 and Slot 2 of the IC600CP610 rack, respectively. A 16-bit processor on the arithmetic control module performs all of the logic and arithmetic-related operations. Additionally, the performance of the Advanced functions, Expanded functions, and Expanded II functions of the CPU and the provision of the timing and control signals is the function of the control logic module. The I/O control module that is installed in Slot 1 of the IC600CP610 rack provides an interface between the CPU and the I/O chain which can contain a maximum of 8000 inputs and 8000 outputs.
