Technical Information

The IC600CM552 memory module is a 2K combined memory module that is manufactured and distributed by the GE Fanuc Automation. It belongs to the GE Series Six product family. This combined memory modules use the CMOS-RAM cohesive circuit memory as its storage option. This data storage device works as an integrated circuit memory device that operates on low power and is a volatile memory type with its contents lost under no-power conditions. To maintain the memory contents when the power fails or when the power is turned off, the IC600CM552 combined memory module comes with a lithium battery that serves as power backup. This lithium battery is found on the module alongside the circuitry that monitors the voltage level of the batteries. Another feature of this module is a jumper that is designed to allow the users to utilize the exterior auxiliary backup battery which connects with terminal block (TB). There is no need to connect the on-board battery.

 

The GE Fanuc IC600CM552 combined memory module is located in the rack and it should be put in the fourth slot in the rack which is located directly on the left side of the Arithmetic Control Module CPU rack of the GE Series Six Plus PLC. The GE Fanuc IC600CM554 combined memory module and the IC600CM552 combined memory module are some of the versions of the GE Series Six combined memory modules that can be used in the GE Series Six Plus CPU rack. Additionally, all the combined memory modules in the GE Series Six Plus PLC product line are compatible with and can be used with the GE Series Six PLC CPU, but the exact uniformity of these 2 devices has not been ascertained.
