Technical Information

The GE Fanuc IC600CM544 memory module is a 4K CMOS logic memory module manufactured as a member of the GE Series Six product line for use in GE Model 600 or Model 6000 CPUs. This module with the GE Series Six programmable controllers, and it is used in the Model 600 CPUs to offer 1024 battery-backed 16-bit words of memory. It can be used with any functional level, including the advanced, extended, and basic functional levels. Some of the features of the IC600CM544 logic memory module include the battery-backed CMOS memory which helps to retain the register memory after a power failure or after the machine is powered down. It also comes with 2 LED indicators that are the “BATTERY” and “PARITY” LEDs which are designed to help simplify the troubleshooting process. The LED indicators are visible on the faceplate under a clear plastic cover. When there is Table memory or Register memory in the internal memory module, the “PARITY” LED indicator turns off.

 

The GE Fanuc IC600CM544 4K CMOS logic memory module has power requirements for 5 Volts DC of voltage and 800 milliamps of current which are both supplied by the CPU power. It can be stored within a temperature range of 0 to 70 degrees Celsius, it operates in a temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, and it has a non-condensing tolerable relative humidity range of 5 to 95 percent. The IC600CM544 memory module features a 2-tier circuit board. The top tier, also known as the daughterboard, contains the CMOS memory devices. The bottom tier, also known as the motherboard, includes the memory control circuit, the LED indicators, and the battery.
