Technical Information

The IC600CB512 control module is an expanded logic control module manufactured as part of the GE Series Six product line. It operates with a power rating of 5 Volts DC, 0.65 Amps, and 12 units of load that is supplied from the power supply of the CPU. It has a storage temperature range of -20 to 70 degrees Celsius or -4 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit and an operational temperature range from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius or 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. It also features a non-condensing tolerable humidity range of 5 to 95 percent. Other specifications of the IC600CB512 expanded logic control module include a faceplate that measures 317 x 30 millimeters and a circuit board with approximate measurements of 208 x 208 x 31 millimeters. This logic control module is available in 3 different versions, including the Advanced version, the Expanded version, and the Expanded II version. It features a system clock, PROM memory, and a microprogram sequencer.

 

The IC600CB512 logic control module offers timing and control modules to the CPU backplane that are utilized by different modules and the microprogram instructions of the arithmetic control module via a ribbon cable. Other notable features of this module include compatibility with a wide range of GE Series Six and Series Six Plus Central Processing Units (CPUs). When the IC600CB512 logic control module operates with the system without the ribbon cable connecting the GE Fanuc arithmetic control modules, it causes random CPU execution. Additionally, using the Expanded II logic control modules requires the operators to use the Logicmaster version 6 so that there is proper operation at all times. The different versions of this module are available to enable it to provide a wide range of functions.
