16K Register Memory Module (for use in Model 600 or 6000) Series Six Module IC600C IC600CB

Technical Information

The IC600CB511 register memory module is a 16K register memory module designed and distributed by the GE Fanuc Automation as part of the GE Series Six family of products. It is intended for use in the Model 6000 and Model 600 Central Processing Units (CPUs) that have advanced functions. The module offers up to 16K or 16384 16-bit words of battery-backed  CMOS memory for the register memory data. Some of the main features of the IC600CB511 register memory module include battery backup for the CMOS memory, which helps it to retain the register memory data when there is a power failure or after the machine has been powered down. Like some of the other GE Series Six modules, this register memory module comes with 2 LED indicators labeled as the “BATTERY” and “PARITY” LEDs, and they are specially used to simplify troubleshooting. The LED indicators can be seen through the clear plastic cover on the module’s faceplate.

 

The “BATTERY” LED of the GE Fanuc IC600CB511 register memory module is used to show the on-board lithium battery’s operating status. The “PARITY” LED indicator turns off when there is a register or table memory that is found on the internal memory module. These LED indicators can only operate when the IC600CB511 register memory module is correctly installed in a CPU rack that is also appropriately powered. Other features of this register memory module include a circuit board and a faceplate which measure approximately 8.15 x 11 inches and 12.46 x 1.175 inches, respectively. It operates within a temperature range of 0 to 70 degrees Celsius and it can be stored safely in environments with a temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius.
