The IC600CB501 module is a basic logic control module that has been included in the Series Six PLC product line made by GE Fanuc Automation. The benefits of this module are that it reduces inventory costs and provides different industrial functions. It also includes basic functions that can perform logic and arithmetic operations such as data handling and I/O control. This kind of control is performed with a function that includes extended tables. Through these tables, the users can have personalized functions. The GE Fanuc IC600CB501 basic logic control module can be installed in all CPU racks and it needs to be located next to the arithmetic control module in the system. It is recommended to always use the insertion and extraction tool that comes with the CPU to insert or remove this module safely.

 

The GE Fanuc IC600CB501 basic logic control module contains a system clock, a microprogram sequencer, and a programmable read-only memory that offers signals to the CPU backplane, specifically timing signals, so it can be used by different industrial modules. The GE Fanuc IC600CB501 basic logic control module needs to be installed in the rack when it is powered off. It can be installed with its ribbon cable connected. Each time that the unit is installed, the ribbon connector needs to be reconnected again. This unit is used with different versions of the Logicmaster software. The Logicmaster software can be from version 6 or later. This module requires a power supply of 5 Volts DC which is equivalent to 12 units of load. It is important to maintain the specified environmental conditions around the module to extend its life.
