Technical Information

The IC600BF945 module is an ASCII module with a faceplate and circuit board that has been designed by GE Fanuc Automation. The whole design of this module is based on a microprocessor that includes the memory that it needs to perform all its functions. This memory can be used by the operators to store all the relevant application data and programs. This module operates with the GE Basic language that makes it easy to use. The GE Fanuc Automation IC600BF945 ASCII module can be installed in a GE Series Six rack and it needs to be connected with specific cables that must not exceed 15 meters and 1.2 kilometers in length for the RS-232C and RS-422 ports, respectively. This cable needs to be shielded and the module provides proper isolation for each port. The isolation that is provided is up to 1500 Volts.

 

The GE Fanuc Automation IC600BF945 ASCII module can perform functions such as math operations and it provides an interface to different SRT and III devices. The 2 main parts of the module are the circuit board and its faceplate and both components can be found separately in the catalog and ordered separately if new ones are needed. The GE Fanuc Automation IC600BF945 ASCII module requires a power supply range of 5 to 12 Volts DC. This power supply must be provided by the rack. The module comes with 6 LED indicators that show the status of the module and its connections. This module also provides special functions that will enable the users to perform different activities in the industrial environment.
