Technical Information

The Series Six ASCII/BASIC I/O module with product code IC600BF944 is designed by GE Fanuc and it is used for professional programmable logic controller systems. The module is built on the basis of the simple and extended BASIC programming language which provides all the necessary flexibility for applications. The module features a full-function floating point math option which contributes to the more efficient solving of specific mathematical algorithms for an application. The IC600BF944 module is equipped with a pair of communication ports and 12 KB of user memory. The user memory is backed by a battery and the available communication ports allow for simultaneous and continuous communication between the devices. The module supports communication with a maximum of 2 external devices at a time.

 

The IC600BF944 module also features special commands intended for use on the CPU interface and it supports variable names with 8 characters. The module has status indicators which are helpful for diagnostics and it has an internal time/date log. The IC600BF944 module requires one slot on the supported rack type for installation. The module can be installed on a GE Model 60 CPU rack or an I/O rack of the high-capacity type. The IC600BF944 module has an operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) and it can be stored in temperatures from 0 to 70 degrees Celsius (32 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit). The isolation voltage rating of the IC600BF944 module includes transients of 1500 Volts AC with 50 to 60 Hertz frequency and a duration of 1 minute maximum (non-repetitive). The continuous isolation voltage rating is 240 Volts DC or RMS AC. The module meets the requirements of all applicable industrial standards in regard to noise and transient immunity.
