Technical Information

The product code IC600BF940 is the part number for a local I/O transmitter module that is designed and produced by GE Fanuc. The module is part of the GE Enhanced Series Six product line and it includes both the circuit board and the board’s face plate. The IC600BF940 module is equipped with 4 LED indicators that are the “Chain OK,” “Chain Parity,” “Isolated Power,” and “Fault Enabled” LEDs. The purpose of the IC600BF940 module is to provide a proper interface for the I/O rack and a device that is up to 150 meters (500 feet) away. The IC600BF940 module features a DC-to-DC converter that ensures that adequate electrical isolation of the I/O stations downstream is achieved. Another benefit of this module is that individual grounds are appropriate for the different I/O stations. Furthermore, the I/O stations are separated by an I/O transmitter.

 

The IC600BF940 I/O transmitter module handles errors perfectly and it features simplified maintenance procedures. Additionally, the module has the I/O fault isolation capability that allows the users to choose the way the system will respond to I/O faults. In addition to that, the IC600BF940 module features an I/O connection that allows for the usage of a single chain or a multiplex setup with a maximum of 8 chains per CPU. A maximum of 16 chains are supported with the inclusion of an AUX device. The IC600BF940 module has a faceplate with the following dimensions: 317 x 30 millimeters (12.4 x 1.1 inches). The circuit board has dimensions of 208 x 280 millimeters (8.1 x 11 inches). The power rating of the unit is 5 Volts DC and the power should be supplied by the I/O rack.
