Technical Information

The IC600BF908 DC Output Module belongs to the Series Six product line made by GE Fanuc. It is a 24 Volts DC rated source type module that comes with the circuit board and the faceplate. The power requirement of the module is 5 Volts DC and 400 milliamps and it is supplied by the power supply of the I/O rack in the host PLC. The IC600BF908 DC Output Module has 8 outputs that are arranged in 2 groups of 4 outputs each. The total maximum on-state current per module is 16 Amps at 0 to 40 degrees Celsius and the on-state voltage drop is 2.25 Volts. It also has a user terminal block that accepts connections from field devices and DC power sources. It has a circuit-board terminal block that mates with the user terminal block.

 

The IC600BF908 DC Output Module features optically coupled output drives that provide electrical isolation between the controller and output devices. It is a source type module that provides current from the module to the external loads. A Darlington amplifier is equipped as a switching device in each output drive. It has 3 switching ranges which are 20 Volts DC, 40 Volts DC, and 55 Volts DC for use in a variety of applications. This module should be installed in an I/O rack. During installation, make sure to use extraction tools which have compatibility with the CPU. The IC600BF908 DC Output Module has LEDs that are housed under a plastic window. It also has a color-coded faceplate for easy wiring. It can be used in a variety of industrial applications such as annunciators, indicators, and relay applications.
