Local I/O Transmitter Module BF900 GE Fanuc Series Six Board w Face Plate IC600B IC600BF

Technical Information

The IC600BF900 transmitter module is a local I/O transmitter module manufactured by GE Fanuc. This transmitter module is used with the GE Series Six PLC system. The main function of the module is to establish an interface between the I/O rack that it is placed in and the downstream devices. It can establish a connection with a device that is up to 150 meters away. The transmitter is latched inside the I/O rack by sliding into the slot. The front plate of the module has LED indicators to show the power flow, chain parity, fault enable, and other features. A 32-pin connector is also present for connecting to other modules. The IC600BF900 transmitter module is powered with 5 Volts DC supply voltage through the backplane. The module has 8 I/O chains per CPU. This feature helps to produce 16K I/O points. The board of the module is equipped with a DC to DC converter which is used with the circuits connected with the I/O bus.

The GE Fanuc IC600BF900 local I/O transmitter module is installed in the leftmost slot of the I/O rack. The IC600BF900 transmitter module can be used in both the normal and expanded I/O modes. During installation, the green faceplate ground wire should be connected to the terminal next to the card slot. The Fault Enable/Disable mode should be selected during the initialization of the module. The faceplate of the rack should be secured by using the thumbscrews at the top and bottom. The maximum environmental temperature around the module should not exceed 60 degrees Celsius for normal conditions.
