Technical Information

The GE Fanuc IC600BF842 input module is a GE Series Six input module. It has 8 input channels. The voltage rating for this module is 10 Volts DC. This analog input module is generally installed inside an I/O rack in the GE Series Six system. During the installation of the module, the DIP switches are used on the rack backplane. The module is used to convert analog signals into a digital format by using an analog to digital converter for all 8 channels. The IC600BF842 input module is used in different industrial applications. It has different safety and protective features that include under-range, over range, open wire, and the module status detection features. The status information is sent to the CPU for further processing. It offers a 12-bit conversion rate per module for its resolution and makes efficient use of the I/O rack space in the PLC.

 

The circuit board of the GE Fanuc IC600BF842 input module is 8.15 x 11 x 1.2 inches with an open enclosure. It has an accuracy rating of +0.025% of the full scale at 25 degrees Celsius, and a rating of 0.05% maximum at 25 degrees Celsius. The common mode voltage operating range of the module is 11 Volts maximum from the inputs to the SHD. The common mode rejection is less than 60 dB. The IC600BF842 input module is able to connect to up to 32 I/O points at a time. The “Board OK” LED on the module indicates the flow of power in the module. If this LED is off, it indicates an A/D converter malfunction, I/O rack supply problem, or CPU error. The ground shield should be connected to the source common or to the ground to prevent electrical hazards.
