Technical Information

The IC600BF841 input module is an analog input module with a voltage rating of 0 to 10 Volts DC. It has been manufactured by GE Fanuc. This input module comes with 8 channels. This module is available in 3 different variants including the current, bipolar, and unipolar variants. The unipolar variant is used for voltage conversion, the bipolar variant is used to cover the voltage range, and the current variant accepts current in a range between 4 and 20 milliamps. The main function of the module is to convert analog signals into digital signals for all 8 channels. Each of the sampled values from the IC600BF841 input module is converted into a 12-bit binary number which is then used for various operating conditions. This input module comprises an analog multiplexer, A/D circuitry, an optical isolator, and an address decoder along with the data bus driver. 

 

The IC600BF841 input module is used in a variety of applications including process signal measurement, energy usage monitoring, alarm level sensing, and data logging applications. The operating temperature outside of the rack should be set between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius. The IC600BF841 input module is compact in size and it fits in the I/O rack space. It provides a resolution with a 12-bit data conversion rate. The module comes with tons of features, including over range and under range detection features. It features sequential and repetitive channel access. It also allows for the normal reading of all channels and sampling of the data from a single channel. The front side of the module has a “Board OK” LED, an offset potentiometer, a gain potentiometer, and a user connector block.
