Technical Information

The GE Fanuc IC610MDL158 output module is a 24 Volts DC source output module with 16 output circuits. The terminal board on the IC610MDL158 output module can be removed. The module outputs are designed for the control of discrete loads such as motor starters and relay coils. The output switching capacity for the IC610MDL158 output module is 0.5 Amps at 24 Volts DC. The 16 module outputs are divided into 2 groups and each group is protected by a fuse rated for 5 Amps. The 16 module outputs can either be referenced to a single DC power source or each group with 8 outputs can be referenced to an independent power source. The field wiring is terminated on a removable terminal board which is installed on the module faceplate.

 

Each terminal on the terminal module can accept either one 12 AWG wire or two 14 AWG wires. The operating state of the module outputs is indicated by an LED provided for each output channel on the module. The operating voltage range for the output circuits on the IC610MDL158 output module is 5 to 24 Volts DC and the peak voltage is 40 Volts DC. The maximum on-state voltage drop is 1.5 Volts, and the typical value is 0.8 Volts DC at 0.5 Amps and 0.7 Volts DC at 0.1 Amps. The maximum load current is temperature-dependent: 16 circuits can be on at 30 degrees Celsius with each circuit at 0.25 Amps, and 6 circuits can be on at 60 degrees Celsius with each at 0.5 Amps. The rated internal power consumption for each circuit in the on state is 12 milliamps. The weight of the IC610MDL158 output module is 200 grams.
