The IC610MDL116 input module is a 16-point analog input module manufactured by GE Fanuc. It has 4 independent channels and the input voltage ranges between 1 and 5 Volts DC or 4 and 20 milliamps. Each of the inputs is first referenced with the I/O slot of the module. This module is used for receiving input signals for field input devices. The module comes with an 8-bit binary resolution. The IC610MDL116 input module has differential inputs. It uses the successive approximation method for conversion and it has a conversion time of 2 milliseconds maximum. The linearity in error is +/- 0.8% maximum and it has an accuracy of +/-1% with a maximum environmental temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. This input module is compatible with electronically operated proximity switches (2-wire and 3-wire), selector and limiter switches, and pushbuttons.
The circuits of the GE Fanuc IC610MDL116 input module dissipate less heat than the circuits on other modules do, and the module is durable and has a long operating life. The IC610MDL116 input module is powered with 5 Volts of bus voltage from the backplane. It offers mechanical keying that helps to prevent the inadvertent substitution of one module type for another. The module is easy to install, with the key latching onto the backplane’s center rail. All of the 16 input points of the module are isolated individually and they have an isolation rating of 1500 Volts RMS from the input to backplane, and 500 Volts RMS between the inputs. The on-state voltage rating of the IC610MDL116 input module ranges between 160 and 264 Volts AC with a frequency of 60 Hertz.
