Technical Information

The GE Fanuc IC610CCM110 link module is a local I/O link module that is manufactured as part of the GE Series One. For faster data communication, the Model E PC from GE Series One requires the IC610CCM110 local I/O link module or the data communication unit in order to be able to connect with external devices. The speed of communication is significantly faster when the link module is communicating with the external modules, including the host PC. On the other hand, the communication speed is slow when it is communicating with the GE Series One PC through the use of the IC61OCCM105 Data Communication Unit or the IC61OCCM100 Data Communication Unit. During communication sessions, the counter/timer data, program upload/download time, access time to the I/O, and timer/counter data is reduced. The GE Series One Plus product line offers a wide range of flexible devices with a greater memory capacity that stores all the features and functions of the GE Series One modules.

 

GE Fanuc Series One devices, including the IC610CCM110 local I/O link module, provide a CMOS RAM of about 3700 words. Additionally, the IC610CCM110 link module can provide an optional PROM memory in addition to the already available memory with a capacity of 1700 words. This I/O link has a typical scan time of 36 milliseconds for 3.7K words. The extra memory is available to enable the Series One Plus 3.7K PC to take full control of the programming with data operations. This is because the ladder logic programs have many data operations that may need more memory than what comes with the PC. The extra memory in the Series One Plus 3.7K PC gives the operators multiple excellent application capabilities in a small package. Another feature of the device includes programmable timers.
