I/O Expander Interface Module Series One IC610CCM109 IC610CCM10 IC610CCM1 IC610CCM
The IC610CCM109 module is an I/O expander interface module manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation. It belongs to the GE Series One product family and it weighs about 3 pounds. This module is a general-purpose I/O port expander module that has been designed and intended to interface the digital ASICs through the 2-line bidirectional bus that is also known as the I2C. The intelligent features that the GE Fanuc IC610CCM109 I/O expander interface module offers include a radical matrix keypad controller with support for up to 96 keys as well as an unconventional PWM controller that provides a complex brightness pattern control option.
The GE Fanuc IC610CCM109, I/O expander interface module offers 8-bit General Purpose parallel I/O (GPIO) expansion for the I2C or the SMBus applications. It also has an 8-bit input and output selection configuration with the input, output, and polarity inversion options with active high-operation or active low-operation registers. Additionally, there is a system master device that may be used to set the input and output points in the expander as either inputs or outputs by writing to the configuration bits of the inputs and outputs. Each I/O point’s data is stored in that point’s I/O register. The read register has a polarity that can be inverted using the polarity inversion register. All of these registers can be read by using the system master device. Some of the features of the IC610CCM109 I/O expander interface module include a VDD operational range of 1.65 to 5.5 Volts, an SDA sink capability of 30 milliamps, 5.5 Volts rated tolerant inputs and outputs, a polarity inversion register, and low standby current. The module also has a noise filter feature on SCL/SDA inputs.
