Technical Information

The GE Fanuc IC655PWR514 power supply module is a 24 Volts DC power supply module for the GE Series Five PLC system. The GE Series Five PLC system incorporates the many features of the devices in the GE Series One, Series Three, and Series Six Plus PLC family into one compact and modular design comprising a power supply, a CPU/programmer, flexible I/O modules, and PLC interface modules all mounted on a base unit. Unlike the Series Three PLCs, the Series Five base units are available in only 6-point and 8-point models. In a complete local I/O configuration, the base unit on which the CPU is installed is called the CPU base unit, while the other base units in the I/O link are referred to as the I/O expansion base units. The Series Five PLC local I/O station can accommodate a maximum of 7 base units, and each base unit can accommodate a maximum of 8 I/O modules and a total of 64 I/O modules are supported per local I/O station.

The GE Fanuc IC655PWR514 Series Five DC power supply module supplies the GE Series Five base unit and the other connected I/O devices with reliable operating levels of voltage and current. The IC655PWR514 power supply module has an operating voltage range of 20 to 29 Volts DC and a maximum power rating of 60 Watts. It supplies an adjustable amount of power rated at +5 Volts DC to the base unit backplane for the operation of the CPU and the I/O modules that are installed on the base unit. The IC655PWR514 power supply module is installed in a single slot of the base rack, and it has 8 terminal connectors on the bottom for the field wiring.
