Technical Information

The IC655MDL586 Isolated Relay Output Module is a GE Fanuc I/O module that comes with 16 circuits. It specifically comes with 12 normally open relay type output circuits and 4 Form C type output circuits. The IC655MDL586 Isolated Relay Output Module can be used for controlling user output loads. The operating voltage of the module is 5 to 30 Volts DC or 5 to 265 Volts AC. It has 2 Amps of output switching capacity for resistive loads. The maximum leakage current is 0.2 Amps at 265 Volts AC for 60 Hertz of frequency. Each circuit point on the module has 9.5 milliamps of rated internal power consumption. The total power consumption of the module is 152 milliamps at 5 Volts DC.                   

 

The IC655MDL586 Isolated Relay Output Module comes with a removable terminal block on the front for wiring. Each output circuit has a separate common connection and outputs that are isolated from each other. During installation, make sure not to install or remove the I/O module when power is applied to the base unit. Care must be taken when handling the terminal board since hazardous voltage may be present on the screw terminals of the module. The IC655MDL586 Isolated Relay Output Module requires additional power filtering or an isolation transformer if noise problems are presented after the field wiring. When replacing the I/O module, the terminal block can be removed separately without removing the field wiring. An AC or DC power supply is required for modules with load connections and a 24 Volts DC rated power source is sufficient to provide power to the output circuitry of the module.
