GE 115/230Vac Output 16 points MDL575 Series Five PLC GE Fanuc IC655MDL5 IC655MDL57

Technical Information

The GE Fanuc IC655MDL575 output module is a 115 or 230 Volts AC rated output module. The 16 output circuits on the IC655MDL575 output module are rated for a maximum of 2 Amps of current. Both the number of output circuits which can be on and the current that they can carry is highly temperature-dependent: 16 circuits can be on with 0.5 Amps of current per circuit at a maximum of 48 degrees Celsius, 10 circuits can be on with 1 Amp of current per circuit at a maximum of 39 degrees Celsius, and 4 circuits can be on with 2 Amps of current per circuit at up to a maximum of 49 degrees Celsius. Moreover at 60 degrees Celsius, 3 circuits, 6 circuits, and 12 circuits can be on with 2 Amps, 1 Amp, and 0.5 Amps of current per circuit, respectively.

The type of output circuits on the IC655MDL575 output module are triac outputs. The 16 circuits are grouped into 2 groups with 1 hot connection for each group. An 8-Amps fuse is provided for the protection of each group. The operating voltage range for the circuits is 16 to 265 Volts AC at 48 to 63 Hertz. The peak current per common is 5 Amps and the peak current per IC655MDL575 module is 10 Amps. GE Fanuc recommends a 10-milliamp load at a minimum at 15 Volts AC for each of the module circuits. The inrush current can go up to 30 Amps for 10 milliseconds or 10 Amps for 100 milliseconds. The typical total internal power consumption rating at 5 Volts DC is 560 milliamps which can go up to a maximum of 650 milliamps.
