5/12 VDC Input 64 points module MDL533 GE Series Five Module IC655MDL5 IC655MDL53

Technical Information

The GE Fanuc IC655MDL533 module is a 5/12 Volts DC TTL positive/negative input logic module. The type of input circuit being used, with positive or negative logic, can be selected by wiring the source voltage connected to the module. The 64 input circuits, which are divided into 4 groups, can be used for connection to user input devices. The operating voltage for the input circuits on the IC655MDL533 logic module is 4.75 to 13.2 Volts DC. The maximum open circuit voltage is 15 Volts DC. The rated input current is 2.5 milliamps at 5 Volts and 7.5 milliamps at 12 Volts.  The circuit “on” level is 4 Volts DC and the circuit “off” level is 2 Volts DC. The value of the input voltage is measured between the “C” connector, which is the group common connector, and the input terminal.

The maximum “on” level current is 1.8 milliamps and the maximum “off” leakage current is 0.8 milliamps. The response time range for the off to on state change is 1 to 4 milliseconds the response time range for the on to off state change is also 1 to 4 milliseconds. The maximum internal power consumed on the IC655MDL533 module is 180 milliamps and the typical power consumption is 136 milliamps. Typically, a single active input circuit on the IC655MDL533 module consumes 50.1 milliamps and a single active LED consumes 2.5 milliamps of current. The field wiring connections from input devices are made to two 37-pin subminiature D-type connectors which are mounted on the front of the module. The users need to supply a 5 Volts or 12 Volts DC power supply to reflect the state of the inputs to the module.
