115Vac Isolated Input 16 points card GE Series Five Module PLC IC655MDL5 IC655MDL52

Technical Information

The GE Fanuc IC655MDL527 input module is a 115/230 Volts AC isolated input module. The IC655MDL527 input module is designed by GE Fanuc for use with the GE Series Five family of programmable controllers. There are 16 input circuits on the IC655MDL527 module. The type of input circuits on the module are optically isolated inputs and each circuit is isolated from the other circuits relative to the AC power source. The operating voltage is 80 to 265 Volts AC at 48 to 63 Hertz line frequencies. The maximum open circuit voltage rating is 265 Volts AC. At 115 Volts AC and 60 Hertz frequency, the input current rating is 8.4 milliamps and at 230 Volts AC and 60 Hertz frequency, the input current rating is 18 milliamps.

The circuit “on” level, as measured between the N terminal and the input terminal, is 80 Volts AC and the circuit “off” level, as measured between these same terminals, is 30 Volts AC. The minimum level of current for the “on” circuits is 5.5 milliamps. The peak value of the leakage current is 2 milliamps. The current consumption per point that is powered on is 4 milliamps which leads to a typical power consumption of 64 milliamps and a maximum power consumption of 100 milliamps. The operating temperature range for the IC655MDL527 module is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. Each input on the IC655MDL527 input module has a separate neutral connection which allows each input to be powered from different phases of the AC power supply. The 80 to 265 Volts AC power source must be user-supplied. The 16 LEDs on the front of the module provide a visual indication of the status of each input circuit.
