Technical Information

The IC655BEM530 interface is a Series Three I/O interface module by GE Fanuc. It offers the latest technology for industrial automation. It is compatible with GE manufactured PLC systems. This module has a current rating of 200 milliamps. It can easily handle discrete I/O, analog I/O, high-speed counter, and ASCII modules. The I/O modules are enclosed inside a plastic module housing for protection. The IC655BEM530 interface module is easy to use and it can be installed by using the removable side plate on the left side of the I/O interface. The sidplate of the IC655BEM530 interface helps the users to access the module. A DIP switch and the replaceable fuse can also be accessed by using the sideplate. 

 

The IC655BEM530 I/O interface can serve up to a maximum of 2048 I/O at a time. The number of I/O points are selected by using the DIP switches on the module. The ambient temperatures should be kept between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius for normal operation. The IC655BEM530 I/O interface is equipped with an LED status indicator on the front face. It illuminates when the communication link is established between the PLC interface and I/O interface. The LED indicators will be turned off if the communication link is down. The module can be installed with an I/O link that is located up to 3300 feet away from the base unit. For communication, the I/O module uses twisted cable. The I/O module is connected to the backplane by using a single connector that is mounted on the base unit.
