Micro Field Processor MFP100 GE Fanuc Field Control PLC IC670 IC670M IC670MF IC670MFP
The IC670MFP100 micro field processor is a field control PLC module from GE Fanuc. It can be used for providing local I/O logic in an industrial field control station. The compatible programming software of this module is the Logicmaster 90-30/20 microprogramming software release 6.0 and the compatible HHP is a GE Series 90-30 hand-held programmer. Some of the features of the IC670MFP100 micro field processor include alarm processor functions, limited access to the device through password protection, built-in communication ports, and SNP, SNPX series 90 communication protocol support. It consists of a CPU circuit board and backplane communication circuitry for sending and receiving data with the BIU.
The IC670MFP100 micro field processor uses field control communication protocols to communicate with the I/O terminal block backplane. It offers an RS-422 compatible serial port with a 15-pin D-type female connector. It does not need any other power options since the power is supplied by the Field Control system backplane. This module must be mounted on a 35 x 7.5-millimeter DIN rail in a field control terminal block in any orientation. The internal functions of the IC670MFP100 micro field processor can be programmed and configured offline by using the hand-held monitor or the configurator software. An IBM-PC compatible computer or Workmaster II computer with WSI is essential for using this MFP with the Logicmaster 90 software. Its input voltage rating is 6.5 Volts DC and the input current rating is 300 milliamps at 24 Volts DC. It has 4 indicator LEDs that are the “PWR,” “OK,” “RUN,” and the “COMM” LEDs. These LEDs indicate when diagnostics and troubleshooting need to be performed.
