Technical Information

The IC670ALG310 analog voltage output module is an 8-channel analog voltage-source output module designed for the GE Fanuc Genius Field Control station. This module has 8 individually-isolated outputs in 2 groups of 4 output points each, and each output channel provides a 14-bit output voltage range of  -10 Volts DC to 10 Volts DC. The IC670ALG310 analog voltage output module receives output data in digital engineering units from the host and it scales the data according to the configured scaling parameters and then converts the data to -10 Volts DC to +10 Volts DC rated output voltage signals. It has a built-in diagnostic function that provides over/under-range alarms (in case the engineering units from the host result in an output value that exceeds or falls below the rated limits) and power loss fault reporting. Other standard features include individual channel configuration, support of both “Word” and “Bit” type data, and support for field calibration with the ability to store calibration data.

 

The IC670ALG310 analog voltage output module has 8 single-ended outputs that require an 18 to 30 Volts DC external power supply for operation and each output draws 170 milliamps of backplane current. The IC670ALG310 analog voltage output module is compatible with only Genius Field Bus Interface Units that are revision 2.0 or later, and unlike other modules in its family, it can only be configured from the Bus Interface Unit (BIU) via a compatible hand-held monitor (HHM). The handheld programmer can be used to configure the module scaling parameter level as well as to configure the module for either active or inactive modes. The IC670ALG310 analog voltage output module is installed on an I/O terminal block, which provides a terminal base for field-side wiring, and it comes with a diagnostic and status LED indicator.
