The GE Fanuc EP-5422 output module is a digital pulse width modulation type of output module from the special functions modules product line. It comes with 2 outputs. The EP-5422 output module has a supply voltage rating of 20.4 to 28.8 Volts.

The EP-5422 module is an output module from the GE Fanuc special functions modules product line. It is a digital pulse width modulation type of output module. This output module’s main applications are applications in the control of small industrial motors that only have current requirements of up to 0.5 Amps. The EP-5422 digital pulse width modulation output module allows the users to set the parameters for the period duration of each output in the module and the current status of each of the outputs can be read as a status word. The output current path is the power source for all of the outputs in the EP-5422 digital pulse width modulation output module. This module is protected from external voltages that are rated anywhere between 0 Volts and the operating voltage.

 

The GE Fanuc EP-5422 digital pulse width modulation output module comes with several LED status indicators that light up in different colors for different status updates. The module status LED glows green when there is normal communication over the system bus and it glows red when there is either a diagnostic or module system fault. There are 2 additional LEDs for the 2 outputs that glow steady yellow when the PWM output is between 0 and 100% with P-switching and that flash yellow when the PWM output is below 0% or above 100% with P-switching or PN-switching. The EP-5422 digital pulse width modulation output module is designed to be small and compact and it only weighs about 2.72 ounces. Its supply voltage rating is 20.4 to 28.8 Volts and its system current path consumption rating is 8 milliamps while its output current path consumption rating is 40 milliamps.
