The GE Fanuc EPXPNS001 module is a Profinet adapter module. It has 2 Ethernet ports. The EPXPNS001 adapter module mounts on a DIN Rail.
The GE Fanuc EPXPNS001 adapter module is a RSTi-EP Profinet network adapter module. It is certified by the Profinet User Organization. The EPXPNS001 adapter module can be used as the head module for the RSTI-EP system bus. A maximum of 64 active modules can be connected to it. The module has 2 Ethernet ports and 1 integrated switch. A web server application can be used to access the EPXPNS001 adapter module through the Ethernet ports or through the integrated USB port. This enables the reading of all information, including parameters and diagnostics, and the forcing or simulation of the connected modules. The EPXPNS001 adapter module is meant to be installed horizontally on a DIN Rail. The module can be installed vertically too, but doing so leads to a reduction in heat dissipation which can cause a change in the derating values. The module supports media redundancy protocol client mode operation.
The start-up time for the GE Fanuc EPXPNS001 network adapter module is less than 500 milliseconds with a maximum of 10 modules. The maximum data rate supported by the Fieldbus is 100 Mbps and the maximum data rate supported by the RTSi-EP system bus is 48 Mbps. The default data format is Motorola. The Intel data format is also supported. The weight of the EPXPNS001 adapter module is 220 grams and the module dimensions are 120 x 76 x 52 millimeters. The temperature ranges recommended for safe module operation and storage are -20 to 60 degrees Celsius and -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. The supply voltage range for systems and inputs on the EPXPNS001 adapter module is 20.4 to 28.8 Volts DC. The supply voltage for the outputs is 20 to 28.8 Volts DC. The maximum feed-in current for the input module is 10 Amps. AWG 26 to 16 wire is recommended for the data connections.
