The EP-1804 module is a digital input module that comes from the GE RSTI-EP Digital Input series of I/O devices. This digital input device has been designed by GE Fanuc Automation and it is fully compatible with the PACSystem series devices and systems. This input device comes with 4 digital inputs that operate with positive logic. These inputs have an operating  speed of 10 milliseconds, including timestamps. The GE Fanuc Automation EP-1804 digital input module comes with I/O cabling that makes installation reliable and simple. The device also includes color-coded connectors that minimize errors during the installation process and shorten the installation time. One of the most important features of the device is the remote and real-time diagnostics features that enable supervisors to identify and eliminate failures remotely. This device comes with an IP 20 rated protective housing that helps it to withstand standard industrial environmental conditions. This input module can operate in a temperature range from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius. This device has dimensions of about 12 x 99 x 70 millimeters. The GE Fanuc Automation EP-1804 digital input module is mostly used with basic machines and applications. This input module includes a HotSwap mechanism that allows it to be inserted and removed under power and its inputs are all independent from each other. This device operates with a voltage range of 110 to 230 Volts AC.
