The GE Fanuc Automation EP-1318 digital input device includes 8 digital inputs that operate at a speed of 3 milliseconds. This device operates with a voltage of 24 Volts DC and it comes with an IP 20 rated housing that enables it to operate in a controlled environment. This device can be installed on a DIN Rail.

The EP-1318 input module is a digital input device that belongs to the PACSystems Digital Inputs series and that has been designed by GE Fanuc Automation. This input device has been included in the RSTi bulletin of the GE digital inputl devices. This digital input device provides internet connections to a series of equipment that is included in the same system. Several networks can be connected through this device, and these networks are the PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Modbus TCP, RTU, and DeviceNet networks. The GE Fanuc Automation EP-1318 digital input device operates with positive logic and it includes 8 points that operate with a speed of 3 milliseconds. These inputs are configurable. The device comes with a copper RJ-45 port that is used for serial network adapters. It can also be expanded to support more inputs.

 

The GE Fanuc Automation EP-1318 digital input device operates with a voltage rating of 24 Volts DC and it has a current consumption rating of 8 to 30 milliamps. This device comes with an IP 20 rated housing that protects it against solid particles that could enter the internal parts of the device and damage it. The GE Fanuc Automation EP-1318 digital input device supports a PROFINET system redundancy protocol that can be installed via an application code. The media connector for this device is a Media Redundancy Protocol (MRP) connector. This device includes the HotSwap mechanism. When maintenance activities are going to be performed on this module, some inputs will still be able to operate since the inputs are powered independently of one another. This device is meant to be installed with a basic machine as it comes with only a standard diagnosis level.
