The GE Fanuc EP-1218 input module is a digital input module. It has 8 input channels which support positive logic and 24 Volts DC rated 2-wire connections. The sensor types supported by the module include Type 1 and Type 3 sensors as per the IEC 61131-2 standards. The input delay on the EP-1218 input module can be set to values ranging from 0 to 40 milliseconds. The maximum sensor supply current is 15 milliamps per channel. The maximum rated input current from the input current path is 30 milliamps. For optimal operation, the EP-1218 input module requires a -4 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit ambient operating temperature range. The permitted temperature range for module storage is from -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. As per the IEC 61131-2 standards, the tolerable relative humidity range for operation, storage, and transportation is from 5 to 95% without condensation. THe weight of the EP-1218 module is 85 grams.
The GE Fanuc EP-1218 digital input module is designed by GE for use with the RSTi-EP systems. It can be used for receiving binary control signals from switches, transmitters, and proximity switches. The module has a flexible design which allows it to be used with reserve potential. The wiring connectors on the EP-1218 input module are color coded for ease of wiring. The module features a type plate with identification information, technical specifications, and a block diagram. Accessories for the module which can be ordered separately include markers for labeling equipment. The status LEDs on the module include a green LED for the module status and yellow LEDs for the individual input channels.
