The Analog Outputs have been manufactured by GE Fanuc to be used along with Analog Inputs, Digital Inputs, and Digital Outputs in a GE RSTi-EP system that uses Fieldbus devices. The network adapter in the RSTi-EP system is Fieldbus-specific, but the Analog Outputs and the other I/O modules do not need to be Fieldbus-specific to operate in the system. They are all independent. Up to 64 active I/O modules like the Analog Outputs can be used at a time in a single RSTi-EP station, depending on how much data it needs to transmit and communicate and depending on the configuration, parameter, and process data for all of the modules that are connected to the station. The Analog Outputs are available with either 4 or 8 output channels.
The GE Fanuc Analog Outputs measures 120 x 11.5 x 76 millimeters or 4.72 x 0.45 x 2.99 inches in dimensions. They are designed to be compact and also easy to install. It is easy to install the Analog Outputs onto the DIN Rail that supports them in the RSTi-EP station, and it is easy to connect the Analog Outputs to other active I/O modules next to them on the DIN Rail because the Analog Outputs are designed to snap into place on the DIN Rail and to snap together with other modules with “double click installation.” The Analog Outputs have IP 20 environmental protection ratings. The operating temperature range for the Analog Outputs is from -4 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit and the storage temperature range is from -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit.
