The EP-3804 Analog Input Module is a DIN Rail-mounted, 4-channel analog thermocouple module from the RSTi-EP Remote I/O family. It has been manufactured by GE Fanuc. This module offers 4 non-isolated thermocouple inputs with 16-bits resolution per channel.
The GE Fanuc EP-3804 Analog Input Module is a DIN Rail-mounted analog thermocouple module from the RSTi-EP Remote I/O family. The EP-3804 Analog Input Module is designed to accommodate up to 4 analog thermocouple sensors with its 4 inputs. It can detect analog thermocouple sensors or analog voltage signals rated at +/-15 millivolts and +/-2 Volts DC. Each input channel has a maximum resolution of 16 bits, and a designated sensor type can be assigned by using parameterization. The EP-3804 Analog Input Module supports the mixed operation of different sensors simultaneously. Each input sensor can have internal or external cold-junction compensation (CJC) that can be parameterized. The EP-3804 Analog Input Module’s 4 inputs are self-diagnosing inputs that are protected against overcurrent conditions and overvoltage surges above 30 Volts DC. The EP-3804 Analog Input Module also offers module diagnosis with the ability to send error messages to the CPU. Each input channel has a status LED assigned to it.
The GE Fanuc EP-3804 Analog Input Module has 4 non-isolated thermocouple inputs that support the J, K, T, B, N, E, R, S, L, U, C, or millivolt sensor types for different applications. Note that each input circuit supports only 2-wire connection to a sensor, and it has a maximum current rating of 2.5 milliamps per channel. Each sensor input also has a maximum accuracy rating of 10 μV plus 0.1% of the voltage measurement range. The EP-3804 Analog Input Module has a maximum temperature coefficient of 50 ppm/K and a sensor temperature range of -200 to +2,315 degrees Celsius. Power for operation comes from the integrated power supply module. The EP-3804 Analog Input Module has an operating voltage range of 20.4 to 28.8 Volts DC and a maximum current rating of 8 milliamps.
