The EP-3368 module is a 16-bit analog input module from GE used in combination with the PACSystems RSTi-EP I/O devices. It has 8 input channels, 16 bits of resolution, and an accuracy of 0.1% FSR. It requires an HD connector known as the EP-8360 connector to operate.
The EP-3368 module is a 16-bit analog input module for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) systems from GE. It is used in combination with the PACSystems RSTi-EP I/O system, which is a high density, high-performance remote I/O system that can support and power up to 64 active functions and I/O modules such as the EP-3368 input module. It features 8 input channels, 16 bits of resolution, and an accuracy of 0.1% FSR (Force Sensitive Resistor). It can detect up to 8 analog sensors with 0 to 20 milliamps or 4 to 20 milliamps current ratings. The sensors can be connected to each connector in 2, 3, or 4-wire arrangements. Each plug-in connector on the module includes an analog input, a GND (Ground) connector, a 24 Volts DC power supply, and a functional earth (FE) connector. The EP-3368 input module has a module LED and channel LEDs that are assigned to each channel for easy diagnosis and error detection. A red module status LED indicates a module system fault whereas a red channel status LED means there is a channel error.
The GE Fanuc EP-3368 analog input module requires a GE EP-8360 connector to function. This connector is a 4-signal high-density I/O connector that is made specifically for the EP-3368 input module, with a maximum of 1 Amp of current capacity and an insulation diameter of 1 to 1.6 millimeters. The connector should always be used in a pair with another identical connector for each slot of the connection frame. The module’s connection frame can accommodate up to 4 pairs of the EP-8360 connectors in total. The system bus feeds a voltage supply that is rated between 20.4 and 28.8 Volts to the module for operation. The network adapter feeds 8 milliamps of current to the module via the system current path (ISYS). The input current path (IIN) supplies the input module with 20 milliamps of current.
